Skip a Service on a Recurring Job Visit

If you've ever received a call from a customer saying something along the lines of:
"Hey, don't bother coming next week, we're going to be out of town"

or

"Let's go ahead and skip Wednesday's lawn aeration; our neighbor's kids offered to do it for us with their aerator... I'll let you know how THAT goes"

Whatever the case may be, if you've ever needed to skip a visit on a recurring job for your PHC or Lawn Care program, but needed to preserve those service(s) for next year, all you need to do is:

  • Edit the visit
  • Deselect "actual" and "billable" for the line items you will not be performing
  • Save the visit

You will notice that those line items no longer appear on any work orders or invoices. Those line items will still be saved to the job, so when you renew the job for next year you won't lose the skipped services and you can opt to do them during the next period.

You can still schedule the visit as you would normally if there is work on the visit you will be performing. If not, you can just complete and approve the visit without scheduling.
