Release Note | 8.15.2024

Hello! Today, we are writing to notify you of some exciting product updates to SingleOps. Per our email on August 9th, this week we are releasing the following improvements:

  1. Nav Flattening Under Jobs Section. We are making it easier for users to access the core jobs pages by removing the Jobs tab in the left nav and elevating “Tasks, Leads, Proposals, Active Jobs, Completed & Approved Jobs” into the primary navigation. We’re also removing duplicate “Create Job & Proposal” buttons with the recent addition of the Global Create button.
  2. Template Modal. We’re moving the “Use Templates” buttons from the left navigation bar (under the Jobs tab - that is going away) to a modal that will appear automatically when a user selects “Create -> Proposal or Active Job.” You will need to “Create -> Proposal or Active Job” to see the option to use templates.
  3. Nav Organization Under the Admin Tab. “Admin” is now going to be branded as “Setup” and will be more organized into alphabetical order with cleaner settings buckets for users to find settings faster and easier. All the same settings remain in SingleOps, but now they’re much more organized.
  4. Payment Records Report - Add Prepay and Deposit as optional columns. The current Payment Records report doesn't note whether the payment is for a deposit or prepayment. This is critical information for the business, so we’re adding them in as optional columns.
  5. Add Creation Date to the list of columns on the Clients Page. Customers want to know which clients are new clients, vs ongoing, so they can tailor their marketing efforts. We’re adding “Creation Date” to the list of columns users can add to the Client Page. This will be an optional column that users have to enable.
  6. Validate Liquid Email and Text Message Body Syntax. When users create invalid liquid syntax in the email and text templates, we will no longer let them save that template. This will prevent errors and user confusion.
  7. Add Sales Tax and Invoice Subtotal columns to Open/Paid Invoices pages (Open and Paid invoices page). We’re adding critical pieces of information to the Open and Paid Invoices pages: Sales tax and Invoice Subtotal columns so that users no longer need to manually calculate those fields.

Our next product release, per our bi-weekly cadence, is scheduled for August 29th, 2024 with minor improvements to the Leads page. We will be sending a training video at the time of launch to give your team a full understanding of what changes will be made. Stay tuned!
